ARCHITECT: Edmund Ming-Yip Kwong ROLE: Project Coordinator
Project S’more was an exercise in architecture as community builder. It created a proof of concept to replace standard hardwood housing frames with laminated plywood — a method for using a mater that yields 90% less waste. While exhibited at various locations in Los Angeles and Long Beach, it created a public space for gathering and storytelling. Fabricated through public volunteer workshops led by Oliver Hess at Aperiodic Industries and Materials & Applications. I was the lead fabricator and exhibitions coordinator.
