Ernie’s (You Can See Her There) is a reconstruction of a scene from the film Vertigo when Scottie sees Madeleine for the first time. Ernie’s restaurant is suggested here by red damask wallpaper and ambient sound that once activated by the viewer enacts an atmosphere of desire. Punctuated by music and light, this installation performs a cinematic experience spatially for the viewer. As technical director I was responsible for the physical computation system.
