ARTIST: filipa valente[limiLAB] ROLE: art direction

Filtered Transparencies attempts to create an inhabitable image. Through projecting graphics on a series of invisible porous screens the material becomes simultaneously planar and volumetric. Participants can traverse the visuals by moving between the screens or and alter/distort the content by interfacing with a sensor or manipulating the screens. Versions of this installation have been commissioned by WeDo Technologies and the Taos Arts Festival. As art director I designed and coordinated the fabrication of the structure and contributed conceptual and graphical content for the projections.
